Adding android.telephony.gsm via GSM module on Pandaboard

Hello, I'm working on a base station which will require GPRS connectivity via a GSM module. I was wondering if anybody has some experience integrating a GSM module into an Android Linaro and specifically in the Pandaboard or any other Linaro enabled hardware. Somebody on another forum suggested to use this project link text.
